Honda Activa 7G 2025 is finally here. And yes, it brings more than just a new sticker or colour. This time, Honda has actually made changes that matter. From new tech to better mileage, the Activa 7G is looking sharp and smart for 2025.

Same trust, new twist
The Activa name is already strong in India. Everyone knows someone who owns one. It’s reliable, easy to ride and needs less maintenance. But critics always said one thing – it’s boring. Now with the 7G, Honda is trying to change that image.
The body shape is still familiar. But the front has been redesigned. The headlamp is sleeker and now has brighter LED lighting. The side panels have sharper lines. The rear grab handle is new and more comfortable too.
It still looks like an Activa. But now, it also looks like it belongs in 2025.
Hybrid technology surprise
This is the most exciting part. Honda has introduced mild-hybrid support in the new Activa 7G. It’s not full electric. But it uses a small battery and motor to assist during pickup and stop-start traffic.
What this does is simple. When you start from a signal or accelerate quickly, the motor helps the engine. So, you get better pickup without using more petrol. Once you settle into a smooth ride, the hybrid support turns off.
The tech also shuts the engine automatically at signals. And it starts again when you twist the throttle. This saves fuel and reduces pollution. It feels smooth and doesn’t jerk. It’s just smart riding made easy.
Big jump in mileage
Thanks to this hybrid setup, the mileage has improved. Honda claims around 65 to 68 kmpl now. That’s a big step up from the earlier 55 to 60 kmpl range of Activa 6G.
In cities, where stop-and-go traffic is common, this new hybrid assist really helps. And because petrol prices are always rising, better mileage is a huge win.
Same engine, tuned better
The engine is still 109.51cc, single-cylinder. But it’s now tuned to work better with the hybrid system. The power figures are similar to Activa 6G, with around 7.8 bhp and 8.9 Nm torque.
But because of the extra electric push during initial movement, it feels quicker in traffic. The response is better, and overtakes are smoother too.
You don’t feel the engine straining, especially while climbing flyovers or carrying a pillion.
Riding comfort still top
The Activa has always had one strength – comfort. The 7G continues that with a nice wide seat and a good riding position.
The telescopic front suspension and 3-step adjustable rear shock absorber are still here. They soak up potholes and speed breakers easily.
The scooter handles well in turns. It’s stable and doesn’t wobble, even when riding two-up. The 12-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel combo work well for most Indian roads.
New features added
Honda has also added some smart touches to the Activa 7G.
There’s a new semi-digital meter console. It shows real-time mileage, trip meter, and hybrid assist status. It also gives reminders for service and fuel efficiency tips.
A USB charging port is now available inside the front glove box. Super handy for charging your phone while riding.
The fuel filler cap remains external, just like the 6G. So you don’t have to open the seat for petrol anymore.
The scooter now has a smart key option too. This allows keyless start, remote lock-unlock, and even a “find my scooter” feature if you forget where you parked.
Brakes and safety
The Activa 7G continues to use drum brakes at both ends. It also comes with CBS (Combi Braking System) for better control.
While we would have liked to see at least one disc brake option, Honda has kept it simple and practical.
The grip from the tyres is good. And the scooter stops safely even in wet conditions. Side-stand engine cut-off is also standard now.
Colours and style
Honda is offering more colour choices with the 7G. New dual-tone shades have been added. Some of the top ones include Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue, and a new Golden Brown combo.
The paint quality looks premium. Chrome bits on the front and side add a classy touch.
Price and availability
The new Activa 7G starts around ₹82,000 (ex-showroom). The smart key version may go up to ₹89,000 depending on the variant.
This puts it slightly above the Activa 6G. But with the hybrid tech and new features, the difference seems fair.
Bookings have started, and deliveries are expected to begin soon in major cities. Showrooms are also offering exchange bonuses and finance options for early buyers.
Who should buy it
If you want a scooter that looks good, runs reliably, and now saves more fuel, the Activa 7G is a solid pick.
It may not be flashy or loaded with gadgets like some rivals. But it gets the basics right. And with hybrid assist, it’s ready for the future.
