Suzuki e Vitara EV Prices Revealed in UK – Check Full Variant Breakdown!

Suzuki has finally revealed the price of its first-ever electric SUV, the e Vitara, in the UK. And yes, it does carry a bit of a premium tag. The base model starts at £29,999, which comes out to around ₹35.03 lakh in India. That’s for the 49 kWh Motion variant.

If you want the top-end version with all-wheel drive and the larger battery, be ready to shell out £37,799, which roughly converts to ₹44.13 lakh. For an electric Vitara, that’s definitely on the higher side in the UK market.

Variant-wise Price Breakup

Suzuki is offering multiple variants. The Motion and Ultra trims are available with two battery pack options – 49 kWh and 61 kWh. AllGrip-e, which is Suzuki’s electric AWD system, is available with the larger battery only.

Here’s a quick look at all the variants:

  • 49 kWh Motion – £29,999 / ₹35.03 lakh
  • 61 kWh Motion – £32,999 / ₹38.53 lakh
  • 61 kWh Ultra – £35,799 / ₹41.80 lakh
  • 61 kWh Motion AllGrip-e – £34,999 / ₹40.86 lakh
  • 61 kWh Ultra AllGrip-e – £37,799 / ₹44.13 lakh

Made in India, Exported to UK

Despite the price tag, there’s a catch. The e Vitara sold in the UK is made in India. Yes, it is exported directly from Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant. So, when it eventually launches in India, prices are expected to be much more competitive. Manufacturing it locally will keep the cost down.

Battery, Motor and Performance Details

Suzuki hasn’t revealed the official range yet. But we do know what’s under the hood. The 49 kWh variant gets a single motor on the front axle with 142 bhp and 189 Nm. The 61 kWh version bumps power to 172 bhp while keeping torque the same.

The AllGrip-e version adds a second motor at the rear. That one gives you a combined output of 181 bhp and 300 Nm. That should give it decent performance on all types of roads.

Expected Rivals in UK and India

In the UK, the e Vitara will go up against the Kia EV3, Peugeot E-2008, and Smart #1. These are already popular in the compact EV space.

In India, the competition will be tougher. The Hyundai Creta EV is coming soon. Tata will launch the Harrier EV. Mahindra will field the BE 6 and XUV.e9. Plus, there’s the MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3 already on sale. The e Vitara will have its hands full.

India launch details are still under wraps. But it’s clear Suzuki is getting serious about electric mobility.
