VinFast is back in the spotlight again. The Vietnamese EV brand has revealed its updated VF8 2025, and it’s turning a lot of heads. With a bold design, longer range, improved tech, and premium features, the VF8 is ready to challenge the big names in the electric SUV game.
If you haven’t heard of VinFast yet, now’s the time to pay attention. They’ve come a long way in a short time. And with the VF8 2025, they’re showing they’re serious about competing globally. From the US to Europe, and now looking at India too, VinFast wants to leave a mark.
Let’s dive into everything this sharp-looking EV brings to the table in 2025.
Futuristic New Design
First thing that grabs attention is the design. The VinFast VF8 looks like something from the future. It has that sharp, premium, and clean look people expect from an electric car.
The front has a sleek LED lighting strip that stretches across the width of the car. The headlights are positioned lower and split into two sections. It gives the VF8 a very aggressive and modern face.
The V-shaped logo in the center blends perfectly with the lightbar. The closed-off grille area adds to the EV identity. The bumper has air ducts for better aerodynamics.
From the side, the VF8 has a coupe-SUV style with a slightly sloping roof. Flush door handles pop out when you unlock the car. The strong shoulder line and chrome window trim give it an elegant profile.
At the back, you get connected tail lamps that mirror the V-shape theme. The rear glass is slightly raked, and there’s a spoiler on top that adds a sporty vibe. The skid plate and bumper at the rear look muscular but not bulky.
You also get new colour options for 2025. Shades like Glacier Grey, Forest Green, Crimson Red, and Arctic White are now available. They all look rich and suit the design very well.
Premium Interior Setup
Step inside the VF8 and you’ll notice it feels more like a luxury lounge than a car cabin. Everything looks clean, wide, and minimal. There’s no traditional instrument cluster. Instead, all your driving data shows up on the central screen and head-up display.
The dashboard is fully wrapped in soft-touch materials. A big 15.6-inch touchscreen takes the center stage. It handles everything from navigation to media to vehicle settings.
The steering wheel is chunky with a flat bottom. It has mounted controls for voice, volume, and cruise functions. The center console is raised and houses a wireless charger, storage area, and cupholders.
Seats are wrapped in vegan leather. They feel soft, premium, and are ventilated in the higher trims. Front seats come with power adjust and memory function. Rear seats offer good space for three passengers, and the floor is flat.
Ambient lighting runs through the cabin. You also get a large panoramic glass roof that makes the interior feel open and airy.
High Tech Experience
The VF8 2025 is loaded with smart tech. The main highlight is the infotainment system. It runs on VinFast’s custom interface and now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Voice control is built-in and supports natural language. You can adjust the AC, open the sunroof, or change the music just by speaking.
The touchscreen is fast and smooth. It shows maps, weather, vehicle data, and more. You can also connect the car to the VinFast app which gives access to remote lock-unlock, vehicle health, charging status, and even locating your car in a parking lot.
You also get over-the-air (OTA) updates. So the software stays fresh with time. The system also supports multi-user profiles which is useful in family cars.
ADAS Features Made Smarter
One of the key highlights in the VF8 2025 is the improved ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The new version is more responsive and works better in both city and highway driving.
Key safety features include:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keep assist
- Lane departure warning
- Traffic jam assist
- Blind spot monitoring
- Emergency braking
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Park assist with 360-degree camera
There’s also a driver attention alert that warns you if it detects signs of drowsiness. These features help reduce stress and increase safety during long drives.
Powerful Electric Performance
The VF8 comes with two battery options globally. For 2025, VinFast has updated the tuning to give better performance and range.
There are two variants:
Eco
- Dual motor setup (AWD)
- 349 hp and 500 Nm torque
- 0–100 kmph in around 5.9 seconds
- Range up to 470 km (WLTP)
Plus
- Dual motor (AWD)
- 402 hp and 620 Nm torque
- 0–100 kmph in 5.3 seconds
- Range around 450 km (WLTP)
Both versions offer quick acceleration and strong mid-range pull. The power delivery is smooth and quiet. You can feel the instant torque from the moment you touch the pedal.
You also get drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sport. Steering response and throttle sensitivity change depending on the mode.
Improved Ride and Comfort
VinFast has worked on the suspension setup in the 2025 VF8. It now feels more planted on highways and absorbs bumps better in the city.
The steering is light for parking and gets heavier at speed. The SUV stays composed even during fast cornering. Cabin insulation is very good. You barely hear outside noise. Even the motor whine is minimal.
Tyres are 19-inch or 20-inch depending on the variant. They offer a good grip and help in cornering confidence.
Battery and Charging
The VF8 uses lithium-ion battery packs that support DC fast charging up to 160 kW. This helps in charging the battery from 10 to 80% in around 30 minutes with a fast charger.
With a regular home charger (AC 11 kW), the battery takes about 8 hours for a full charge. VinFast also plans to offer a wall-box charger with the car in some markets.
You also get a V2L (Vehicle to Load) feature. This lets you power small appliances like laptops, fans, or even electric cookers using the car’s battery during emergencies or outdoor trips.
Boot Space and Practicality
The VF8 offers a trunk space of around 500 litres. There’s also a small frunk (front trunk) which adds about 60 litres. That’s useful for keeping your charging cable or daily bags.
The rear seats fold flat in a 60:40 split, allowing you to carry big items when needed. There are hooks, pockets, and under-floor storage to keep your stuff organized.
Expected Price and Launch Plans
VinFast is working on global expansion in 2025. The VF8 is already on sale in countries like the US and Europe. And now they’re eyeing India too.
The expected price of the VinFast VF8 2025 in India will be between ₹42 lakh to ₹48 lakh (ex-showroom). It’ll go head-to-head with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, BYD Atto 3, and even entry-level German EVs.
VinFast may offer subscription-based battery plans or standard purchase. That will make pricing flexible for different buyers.
This SUV is not just about looks. It brings solid performance, high-end features, and global safety standards. And it gives Indian buyers yet another exciting EV option in the growing electric SUV space.
