TVS iQube 2.2 is finally here. And it’s looking sharper, smarter, and more electric than ever before. If you’ve been holding back from buying an electric scooter, this new version might just convince you.
It brings a bigger battery. It has a longer range. And it comes packed with fresh features that make daily riding easier and more fun.
Design gets subtle changes
At first glance, it still looks like the iQube you know. But look closer and you’ll see the differences. The body panels now have a smoother finish. The fit and finish feel more premium.
The headlamp design is slightly updated. The LED DRLs now have a more modern look. The rear grab rail is stronger and blends better with the tail section.
TVS has added new dual-tone colour options. There’s a mix of bright and classy shades. It gives the iQube 2.2 a more youthful feel. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it surely turns heads.
Bigger battery, better ride
The most talked about update is the battery. The iQube 2.2 now comes with a 5.1 kWh lithium-ion battery. That’s a big jump from the older version.
Because of this, the real-world range has gone up. TVS claims it can now go up to 150 km on a full charge. That’s not just good for city rides. It also gives you freedom to ride longer without worrying.
The top speed is around 82 kmph. So it’s quick enough for highways too. You get strong torque right from the start. That means no delay when you twist the throttle. It feels smooth but also punchy.
Charging made simple
You don’t need a fancy setup to charge the iQube 2.2. It comes with a portable home charger. Plug it into a regular socket and it starts charging.
A full charge takes around 4.5 to 5 hours. That’s decent for a scooter with this range. There’s also an option for a fast charger. That can juice up the battery to 80% in just over 2 hours.
TVS is also working with dealers to set up more public charging points. So in the future, topping up your battery will be even easier.
Riding comfort upgraded
The iQube 2.2 is not just about power. It’s also about comfort. The seat is longer and more supportive now. The cushion feels better for both rider and pillion.
The scooter glides smoothly over bumps. It uses telescopic forks at the front and dual shocks at the rear. Even on bad roads, the ride stays stable and soft.
It also handles really well. It’s not heavy, so city traffic is easy to manage. The wider tyres offer better grip. Whether you’re braking or turning, it stays in control.
Smart tech inside
This scooter is packed with smart features. It has a 7-inch TFT display. It’s bright and colourful. You can check speed, range, battery level, and more on the screen.
But that’s not all. The screen connects to your phone through Bluetooth. You can see call alerts, message notifications, and even directions on the display.
There’s also voice assist support. You can ask it to show nearby charging stations or tell your range without even touching the screen.
TVS has added a new joystick-style controller on the handlebar. It helps you toggle through display menus easily while riding.
Multiple ride modes
iQube 2.2 comes with three ride modes. Eco, Power, and Regen.
Eco gives you the best mileage. Perfect for daily city commutes. Power gives more speed and acceleration. Regen helps recharge the battery slightly while braking.
The rider can switch between these modes on the go. So if you’re low on battery, switch to Eco. If you’re late, switch to Power. It adapts to your needs quickly.
Brakes and safety
Braking has improved too. The iQube 2.2 now comes with front disc and rear drum brakes. It also has CBS (Combi Braking System) which makes stopping safer.
There’s a side-stand sensor. So the scooter won’t start unless the stand is folded. This is a simple but useful safety feature.
It also has parking assist mode. You can use buttons to move the scooter forward or backward slowly. Great for tight parking spots.
Useful extras
The under-seat storage is decent. You can keep a half-face helmet and still have space for small items.
There’s a USB charging port inside. So you can charge your phone while riding. The front hook and flat footboard help carry bags or groceries easily.
TVS has also added a smart key feature. It supports remote start, anti-theft alerts, and scooter locator. You can control many of these with the TVS SmartXonnect app.
Price and variants
The iQube 2.2 starts around ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The price can change slightly based on the city and available subsidies.
There are different variants based on battery size and features. Some have smaller batteries with less range, but they’re more affordable.
Bookings are open now. Deliveries will start soon in metro cities. TVS plans to expand across more towns by the end of the year.
Who it suits
If you’re looking for a modern, no-nonsense electric scooter, this one fits well. It’s great for students, office-goers, and even senior citizens.
It has the style. It has the comfort. And it saves money in the long run with lower running costs.
With the TVS iQube 2.2, you’re not just riding electric. You’re riding smart.
